How we handle personal information when you visit Find Pet Services UK or contact us.

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Who is responsible?

Find Pet Services UK is operated by Michelle Giles, trading as All Paws Directory, who is the data controller for the personal information we use to run this website and respond to enquiries.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email pawsup@allpawsdirectory.co.uk.

Information we use and why

You can browse our guides without creating an account. This website does not have an online booking, payment or contact form.

If you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, your message and any attachments. We use these to answer your enquiry, deal with feedback and keep relevant correspondence. Providing information by email is voluntary, but we need a way to reply if you would like an answer. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Our lawful basis for handling ordinary enquiries is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and administering the website. Where an enquiry is about entering into a contract with us, we may process information to take steps at your request before entering that contract. We may also retain or disclose information when necessary to meet a legal obligation.

When your browser requests a page, the hosting infrastructure receives technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. This is used to deliver pages, diagnose faults and protect the service. Our legitimate interest is providing a reliable, secure website.

Service providers and sharing

The website is published through OpenAI Sites and uses Cloudflare infrastructure. Our contact mailbox uses IONOS email services. These services process information needed to provide hosting, network security or email delivery. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where necessary to resolve a dispute or comply with the law.

These providers operate internationally and may process information outside the UK. Their privacy information explains their processing and international-transfer arrangements. You can contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.

Fonts, cookies and analytics

Our pages load the DM Sans typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to request the font files, which involves sending technical connection information, including your IP address. See Google Fonts' privacy information for details.

We use Google Analytics 4 only if you choose “Accept analytics”. It helps us understand visits, pages viewed, traffic sources, broad device and location information, and interactions such as clicks to All Paws Directory. Google receives technical connection information when analytics loads. We do not send names or email addresses as analytics fields, and the site tag disables Google Signals and advertising personalisation.

Our basis for optional analytics is your consent. Before you accept, the site does not load the Google Analytics tag or send analytics events. Choosing “Reject analytics” does not prevent you from using any guide or link.

When accepted, analytics can set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_… to distinguish browsers and sessions. We configure these cookies to last no more than 180 days without automatic expiry renewal. Your consent choice and the date of that choice are stored in your browser under fps-analytics-consent-v1 for up to 180 days. This preference storage is used to remember your choice, not for advertising.

You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Rejecting after accepting stops further analytics collection on this site and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this domain. Withdrawal does not undo processing that already took place. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.

Google processes analytics information using its international infrastructure, which can involve processing outside the UK. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites for details. Analytics records are retained under the property’s retention settings; aggregated reports may be retained longer. Contact us for information about the settings currently applied.

Our menu and photo-movement controls do not save preferences. Hosting and security services may use essential technical storage or cookies to operate and protect the service; these are separate from optional analytics.

Links to other websites

Our guides link to All Paws Directory, pet-care businesses, the Pet Sitting Success Academy, social networks and other resources. Following a link takes you to that website, where its own privacy and cookie information applies. Browsing this website does not itself create a directory account or subscribe you to a mailing list.

How long information is kept

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as it is needed to answer the enquiry and deal with relevant follow-up. When deciding whether to retain it, we consider whether the matter is still open, whether there is an ongoing relationship, and whether a complaint, legal duty or claim requires the record. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised.

Technical logs and backup copies are subject to the hosting and email providers' retention arrangements. Contact us if you need details about the retention of your particular information.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, erase it or restrict its use. Data portability may apply where processing is automated and based on consent or a contract. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.

Your right to object

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation. Email us using the address above and explain your request.

Where we rely on consent, including for optional analytics, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. We do not use this website to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Questions and complaints

Please contact us if you have a concern about how we use your information. You can also complain directly to the UK Information Commissioner's Office through the ICO complaints page.

Updates to this notice

We will update this page when the website or our handling of personal information changes. The date above shows when this notice was last updated.
